Presidents’ Day is the very popular federal holiday for the United States officially known as called Washington’s Birthday. It celebrates annually on the third Monday of February. This day is used to celebrate the life and achievements of George Washington. He was the first President of the United States (1789-1797) and also known as ‘The Father of his Country’. This day is used to honor and remember all past presidents of United State, and in particular Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson.
The holiday on this day, only applied to the District of Columbia, but in the year 1885 it was extended to the whole country. The day is an official state holiday in United State.
